Danny Lee Wins

Former PGA Tour of Australasia winner, Danny Lee has secured his first win on the Nationwide Tour at the WNB Golf Classic.
Lee showed promise as the 2008 US Amateur Champion after which he went on to win as an Amateur the 2009 Johnny Walker Classic in Perth and in his rookie year on the Nationwide Tour he has lived up to the hype.
It took Lee just 19 starts to secure his first professional win and in doing so, thanks to his winning cheque of $94,500, looks to have shored up his place in the Top 25 and his PGA TOUR card for next season.
The win didn’t come easy tho with Lee starting the final round six strokes off the lead and then having to hold his nerve to take out the title on the first playoff hole against fellow rookie Harris English.
"It feels great to win again," said Lee.
“I haven't won a tournament since I won the 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic and it's a great feeling.
“It's not easy to win and I worked really hard with my uncle and my coach for this. I'm really happy it worked."
The South Korean born New Zealander, Danny Lee will now head to South Korea to play in the Kolon Korea Open on the OneAsia tour.
