Nitties breaks through
Australian James Nitties has broken through for his first title win in the US after taking out the Nationwide Tour's Midwest Classic on Sunday.
In a result that will boost his chances of a return to the PGA Tour in 2012, Nitties shot a six under 65 in the final round to end at 26 under for a five stroke victory at the Overland Park course.
Compatriot Nick Flanagan was in a tie for second and former Port Kembla junior Matthew Giles finished T36 in his rookie year.
